Victory!

The results from yesterday’s California State Senate race -- District 26 -- are in. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, I am moving on to the general election!

I am immensely proud of my campaign and so humbled by your support. Because of all of your hard work -- because you stood with me -- we were victorious in the primary yesterday. Even outspent 2 to 1, our grassroots support couldn't be stopped. You've carried us into the general election!

I want to take a moment to acknowledge the other candidates. There were a number of incredibly talented and passionate people in this race who deeply care about their communities. I look forward to continuing to work with them to make our neighborhoods better.

Now, I’m on to the general election in November.
I’m proud the voters know that I will be the kind of progressive leader who isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right, and will always fight for them. I hope you'll stand with me in the journey ahead.

You can see the final results here.

You made a difference every single day -- you knocked on doors, called voters, made donations and talked to your family and friends about why it's time for a fresh progressive voice at the table. Words can’t express how thankful I am for the time and passion you gave to this campaign.

As you might guess, it took everything we had to secure victory yesterday. It was a big investment to train our staff and organizers, to support our incredible volunteers and to reach as many voters as we did.

Before the dust settles, we need to build the early critical support necessary to win in November.
I hope you will continue to stand with me and continue our fight for progressive change. Can I count on you to make sure I start out strong in the general election?

If we continue to stand together, we’ll be celebrating again in November.

On to victory!

Yours,

Sandra
